This driver software can and will likely be embedded in more camera drivers as need be, and is what makes my driver different than createing a basic one with just url streams. What is special about the Driver: The driver allows you to trigger things based on location press, as well gives you the ability to utilize a virtual keypad for a 4 digit 1-9 code. If you would like a license, please send me your mac address of director, as well as what cameras you have, and what server you intend on using. Feedback is encouraged, remote support is available for a fee. My driver is in no way affiliated with Blue Iris directly, and all support question on my driver should be sent to the Driver: The Driver is an encrypted and licensed driver, for which I will be giving away the first 10 licenses, after which I will charge $50 for the next 10, afterwhich, I will set the final price. The creator of Blue Iris, Ken Pletzer, is very responsive to supporting his software, and has worked with me over the past few years to ensure that the webserver is compatible with Control4, this has required a few improvements and fixes on his end at times, and I am thankful for his help. Overall the software is very good, and the mobile apps are extraordinary in their own merit. There are other key benefits to the software that Security Spy doesn't offer, such as H.264 streaming. In recent posts by others, it has been publicized that Blue Iris NVR software works with Control4, this is not cooincidence, and it is what has prompted me to release my driver today.Ībout the software: Blue Iris software is similar to Security Spy, which most of you are familiar with, yet Blue Iris runs on a Windows PC. I filled out a ticket for help, no response for days which is why I started to call them.I have been working on this project for over three years, and have been awaiting to release it, because I needed time to finish and document. It just took 1-2 calls for someone to pick up. He was able to create a new license key for me over the phone and send it to me via email. It still sits on the Houselogix server but for now that is still up and running. I didn't get the guy on the phone who wrote the driver, someone else but he laughed and said yeah they haven't really been pushing it much. So yeah, don't waste any time with that, just call. I just had basic stuff like showing if a door was locked or the alarm was on in an overlay.ĮDIT: almost forgot I used the AO web support portal to open a ticket 9 MONTHS ago, I asked for status numerous times, and they never responded at all. My old BI server crashed and I'm just re-doing from scratch instead of trying to find a config backup. I am going to dig into the programming again but don't want to go to all the trouble if it is going to be short-lived. My HC-800 isn't going to last forever and I want to be able to get a new license when I need it for a new Director. Good to know they still respond even though they don't seem to be actively pushing the driver anymore. I know you can do stuff like turn on a light if the camera senses motion during a certain time of day, etc but I havent really gotten into that yet. That is really as "advanced" as my programming is with BI/C4. I called AO, they gave me a new license and now it works. So my profiles were not changing because something happened and my license wasnt valid.
